At First United Bank, ensuring the safety and security of our customers’ hard-earned money and personal information is at the forefront of everything that we do. With this goal in mind, we’ve gathered helpful information and resources to equip you to protect your financial information and identity against fraud.

We always want to ensure you the safest environment for banking. Our Security Center can help you better understand how to protect you and your family from online fraud as well as minimizing your risk against it.

A few important reminders:

  • We will never ask for your PIN number or the expiration date on your debit or credit card.
  • We will never ask for your Secure Access Code via eMail, text or phone. Only enter your Secure Access Code on your device’s login screen when you are using it.
  • We will never ask for any information via eMail. If we do need account information, this information will be gathered by phone and confirmed against our records.
  • Never give out your account number, or other personal information, to anyone that you are not 100% certain is an employee of First United Bank.
  • If you receive a questionable call claiming to be from First United Bank, hang up and call (855) 382-7827 (FUB STAR).
  • Never send money to someone you don’t know using any peer-to-peer payment method. If you have made a purchase online, receive your goods before paying for them.
